I've been tagged!

Rules About Being Tagged:
A. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B. Each player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves.
C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.
I was tagged by Peggy Olson.

6 Things About Me:

1. Yes, this is going to sound much like the other people who have been tagged, but I do love being a mom and a wife!!! It’s definitely what I was made to do, and is the most fulfilling job I’ve ever had. Ethan is such an affectionate, sweet little boy and he loves to hug and kiss me and lets me cuddle him when he’s tired. I love him sooo much!!! I also love Spencer very much and really appreciate all his help with Ethan every day. I’m so glad he loves being a dad and is so good at it. I honestly wouldn’t be happier doing anything else, and if I weren’t able to be a mom, I don’t know what I would do.
2. I enjoy being an artist in many different aspects. I consider cooking to be an art, and enjoy trying new meals, especially with lots of fresh herbs and produce. I love foods with a lot of different layers of flavor and color. I also enjoy home décor, but I haven’t really had much opportunity to develop that yet, but I do like to watch shows on TV about home décor and design every once in a while and am getting some good ideas for our future house. I also enjoy being artistic with myself and the way I put myself together. I like to look nice, when I can. I love to scrapbook and organize and beautify everything around me.
3. I love languages, and enjoy learning new languages and new things about language. Grammar is definitely one of my passions. Yes, I’ve been known to be the grammar police around my house. This love affair with language apparently began in elementary school when I wrote in my journal that my favorite subject in school was phonics. Being that I am a very lateral thinker, and tend to use both sides of my brain pretty equally, I enjoy the left-brained activity of fitting words into the organized pattern we know of as grammar, but I also enjoy the artful translation of a good piece of literature, particularly from English to Spanish, as it allows me the opportunity to use my imagination and knowledge to access the perfect language to communicate the same idea an author expressed into another language in a manner just as beautiful as it was communicated by the author.
4. I'm somewhat of a technology-phobe. Though I'm intrigued with all the things that technology allows us to do, and like having it around to make our lives easier, I'm always a bit nervous about learning new things associated with it and how to use new devices and services. I guess it's not so bad, though, once I learn.
5. I always have to be doing something. It drives me crazy to just sit around and be idle, at least for too long. Sure, every once in a while I’ll enjoy a good movie or a cooking show or something like that on TV, but I can’t sit around for too long or I get restless.
6. My most cherished sense is the sense of taste. I really enjoy tasting things, whether it be a wonderful home-cooked meal with fresh herbs, or the taste of words in my mouth as a render a beautiful translation. I do believe that different words have different flavors, and appreciated the fact that my trainer for the Courtroom Interpreting I was doing a couple of years ago expressed this same feeling to me about words. I was pleased to know we had both come up with that same concept. Even sounds can be tasted, I suppose, as us linguists talk much about tongue positioning in the mouth when different phonemes of a language are pronounced.

I tag Spencer, Lars, and Evan.
